Hey Ladies! My name is Shellie Zook and it’s my desire for this to be a safe place for younger women to learn how to love their husbands and children and navigate life’s tough issues with a biblical perspective. It’s also my desire for middle-aged and older women to be able to come here and connect with younger women, and also be encouraged about the phase of life they are in.
Women, we all have a God given purpose as long as we have breath. We are created in the image of God! What does that mean? We are to grow in our relationship with God and reflect the LORD to those we interact with. Easier said than done, right? It’s ok. God will help us and enable us to do all He asks us to do. He’s got us!
Women have always been the best encouragers and supporters of other women. I have been blessed to have had several godly older women in my life who have poured into me in order to help me grow closer to Jesus and to love my family well. I would be honored to be able to follow their example and encourage the younger women in my life as I was encouraged.
Throughout my life, I have wrestled with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD tendencies, imposter syndrome and panic attacks. I’m currently finishing up treatment for Stage 1 breast cancer. (Friends, if you only knew the extent to which God has worked in my life, you would definitely give Him the honor for it!) These are all things you might want to know about me, but I hope you get to know me in a deeper way through this blog.
Also, please feel free to reach out to me and suggest topics of discussion. This blog isn’t about me. It’s about all of us women and the God we love and serve. I’m looking forward to seeing what God does in and through all of us. Till next time……..
